A really interesting concept with a mix of contemporary America, fear of the unknown, radicalised, king lear and loads more plus just great to see a new piece of writing off-broadway. We saw first preview so that may have been the issue with the pacing. To me it just didn't seem finished. The final scene has to built up to with some huge energy and it just didn't get anywhere near it for me and I was so surprised they finished it there. The acting was pretty good across the board but it definitely felt like a preview. Could be really good I'm sure and so many interesting themes but just underwritten and lacking any of the drama it should have had. Nonetheless great to see and to visit a new theatre.
