I'd forgotten quite a lot since seeing it the first time, so it was fun rediscovering it. The singing and music were brilliant, although the chandelier wasn't quite as impressive as I remembered from seeing it from the stalls the first time around. Some of the staging now feels a little dated and the pyrotechnics weren't especially convincing, but it's still a good story and great fun. Completely melodramatic, of course, but then it is Phantom.
