Patrick Bateman is a wealthy young investment banker in late-1980s Manhattan, consumed by status, possessions and the approval of equally competitive colleagues. Beneath his polished routines he is secretly a serial killer, and the musical follows the widening gap between his carefully managed public image and an inner life of escalating brutality.
