The Other Palace · London · Booking until 15 November

A father whose daughter was killed on the road volunteers for a stage hypnotist's act. The hypnotist is the man who was driving.

First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.

Drama
The story

A grieving father deliberately seeks out the stage hypnotist who was behind the wheel, and volunteers for his act. The two men meet for the first time onstage, in front of an audience, inside the hypnotist's routine. Tim Crouch's two-hander sets grief against the power of suggestion.

In the room

The father is played by a different guest actor at every performance, who encounters the script for the first time onstage, while Tim Crouch plays the hypnotist opposite them.

Good fit if you like
