Two women listen for family voices across the same cabin.
In South Carolina in 1862, Ginnie Good raises five children in a cabin while war rages beyond it. In the present day, another woman rents the same cabin to summon her ancestors. Joy Nesbitt’s play places their lives alongside one another, asking what belonging means when family history is complicated, incomplete and still being heard.
The story moves between the American Civil War and the present, using one shared location to connect motherhood, ancestry and the voices carried through a place.
