Cabaret

American writer Clifford Bradshaw arrives in late-Weimar Berlin and becomes involved with Sally Bowles, an English performer at the Kit Kat Klub. Their unstable relationship unfolds alongside the lives of landlady Fräulein Schneider and fruit seller Herr Schultz, while the growing Nazi presence makes private compromise increasingly political.

Songs inside the Kit Kat Klub mirror and distort the offstage story, using jazz-age cabaret, satire and the Emcee's commentary to expose denial as the city's freedoms narrow.
