CARE
After a fall, Joan is placed somewhere she never chose.
When Joan falls, she is quickly moved into a care home she does not want to enter. Around her are other older residents longing for comfort and missing the homes they have left behind. Alexander Zeldin’s play stays with the emotional and practical consequences of being cared for when control over daily life has shifted elsewhere.
The play runs for two hours and ten minutes without an interval, concentrating on institutional care, ageing, displacement and the shared life of residents.
