Compost What's Left

No ratings yet

Southwark Playhouse · London

Lovers, neighbours and friends each face the same strange choice: whether letting something precious go might help something new grow.

First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.

The story

The play weaves several stories together through the idea of composting what can no longer be kept unchanged. Lovers argue over whether their bond should be preserved, neighbours become caught in a tomato scandal, and someone undertakes a journey to surrender the most precious thing they own. Everyday attachments are treated as things that might decay, transform and return differently.
