Darkling
One night tears apart a life begun beside blue lakes.
First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.
The story
A woman is born beneath a blue sky in a city of lakes before a single night changes everything. Titas Halder’s epic follows a life devastated by ecological disaster, tracing the personal consequences of environmental collapse rather than treating catastrophe as an abstract future threat.
In the room
The story works on an epic scale while remaining tied to one life, with a severe, accusatory tone shaped by ecological destruction and its aftermath.
Good fit if you like
ecological drama, epic life stories, disaster narratives and politically angry writing.
