The story

Johnnie Sinnott's play gathers Jimmy's widow and the Brixton Mondays, the five-a-side team he played with every week at Brixton Rec, to see him off. As the drink flows and the day wears on, secrets and old resentments surface, while Jimmy's ghost watches friendships unravel and Sheila begin to plan a life without him.

In the room

A comedy about grief and friendship played out over a single funeral, with the dead man looking on. It follows Sinnott's earlier play The Famous Brixton Mondays.

Good fit if you like

comedies set at funerals, five-a-side football and friendships tested by secrets.
