Dirty Dancing
A sheltered teenager is drawn into a resort's dance world.
In the summer of 1963, Frances 'Baby' Houseman arrives at Kellerman's resort with her family and becomes fascinated by dance instructor Johnny Castle and the staff's after-hours world. When she agrees to train as Johnny's replacement partner for an important performance, their rehearsals develop into a romance that crosses the resort's divisions of age, class and expectation.
The story is carried by extended partner-dance sequences and a soundtrack of early-1960s pop, soul and rhythm and blues, with the romance developing through rehearsal.
