Horror

The story

Kip Williams adapts Bram Stoker's gothic horror as a version of Dracula designed for a single performer to play every role. Count Dracula, concealed for centuries in a remote castle, begins pursuing a new target. This adaptation tells the familiar story through one actor moving between its characters, with Williams's live-camera approach forming part of how the tale is presented.

In the room

Williams calls his approach cinetheatre, combining live performance and camera imagery. The change of character and perspective rests with one actor rather than a conventional ensemble.

Good fit if you like

gothic horror, vampire stories and formally adventurous solo theatre.
