Fly, You Fools!
Three actors and a Foley artist attempt to recreate an enormous fantasy adventure with deliberately tiny theatrical resources.
First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.
The story
This live comedy turns a famous fantasy story into a shot-for-shot stage parody, with a four-person team taking on material far bigger than their ensemble. The joke lies partly in the mismatch between epic source material and the handmade means used to reproduce it, compressing the adventure into a brisk theatrical version.
In the room
Mime, shadow puppetry and live Foley drive the parody, with three performers and one Foley artist recreating the action.
Good fit if you like
fantasy parody, physical comedy, handmade theatrical effects and fast recreations of familiar stories.
