Franz & Marie

Franz is a soldier stationed with his platoon after action on the front line, waiting for new orders in an isolated outpost. Since returning he has been haunted by nightmares and visions of fire in the sky. He lives for his girlfriend Marie and their baby Georgie, but wartime rules have kept them apart and prevented Franz and Marie from marrying.

A tragic musical set in a folklore-inflected late-19th-century world, with war trauma, hallucination and Franz’s separation from his family shaping the drama.
