The story
This play follows the life of author Roald Dahl in the summer of 1983 at his home, shortly before the publication of his novel The Witches. As a controversial magazine review he penned attracts condemnation for antisemitism, publishers and associates confront him, urging an apology as he grapples with the implications of recanting his viewpoint. The story is inspired by actual events.
