Laith has spent years hiding a secret, and the careful life built around concealing it is beginning to come apart.

First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.

Drama
The story

Laith's present-day trouble opens onto a British-Iraqi refugee family's history stretching across a century. As the play moves between past and present, his parents' experiences, his own hidden problem and the pressures of family memory become increasingly entangled, drawing on writer Laith Elzubaidi's own life and experience of OCD.
