Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright
Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith bring the twisted world of Inside No. 9 from television to the stage.
First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.
The story
A theatrical extension of the BBC series, written and performed by Pemberton and Shearsmith. Familiar characters and ideas from Inside No. 9 sit alongside new material created specifically for the stage, retaining the series’ mix of black comedy, horror and misdirection. Simon Evans directs.
In the room
A deliberately unpredictable evening that moves between comedy and genuine unease, with theatrical tricks, meta-theatre and stories that keep changing shape. Knowledge of the television series adds another layer, but the stage show is built as an experience in its own right.
Good fit if you like
dark comedy, horror, theatrical sleight of hand and stories that enjoy wrong-footing their audience.
