Into the Woods

A baker and his wife learn that a witch's curse has prevented them from having a child. To lift it, they must collect objects connected to several familiar fairy-tale figures, drawing Cinderella, Jack, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood into a shared journey where private wishes begin to affect everyone else.

Interlocking fairy tales and recurring musical motifs create a densely woven ensemble piece that begins as a comic quest before examining the consequences that follow fulfilled wishes.
