Rob Madge’s autobiographical solo show combines storytelling, songs and childhood home videos to revisit the performances they staged growing up. At its centre is a particularly ambitious Disney parade for their grandmother, but the story expands into a celebration of creativity, queer identity and a family who made room for both.
A funny and personal one-person show that moves between Rob on stage and footage of their younger self performing at home. Luke Sheppard’s production uses video, music and theatrical recreations to turn family memories into a story about self-expression, growing up and the difference unconditional support can make.
