The story

Piranesi lives in the House, an apparently boundless place of vast corridors, halls and lower chambers flooded by the sea. He spends his days exploring its spaces and carefully recording what he finds, until strange messages on the walls suggest that his familiar world may be hiding something. Adapted by Sami Ibrahim from Susanna Clarke's novel, this fantasy mystery follows Piranesi as his discoveries begin to challenge everything he believes about the place he calls home.

In the room

A slow-unfolding mystery centred on one man and the world he has catalogued, where each new discovery raises sharper questions about the House and his place in it.

Good fit if you like

labyrinthine mysteries, strange imagined worlds, gradual revelations and reality-bending fiction.
