A new musical adapted from Stephen Beresford’s film Pride, with a book and lyrics by Beresford and music by Christopher Nightingale, Josh Cohen and DJ Walde. It follows Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners as they build a relationship with a Welsh mining community during the miners’ strike.
A large ensemble story mixing political history, humour and music with the personal relationships at its centre. Matthew Warchus directs a story that moves between 1980s London and South Wales, following the suspicion, friendship and solidarity that develop as the two groups get to know one another.
