Ripples
Under constant suspicion, one man fights to remain himself.
First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.
A man caught inside surveillance and suspicion tries to preserve his identity while challenging an injustice done to him. His struggle opens onto Britain’s treatment of migrants and the power institutions hold over people whose lives are repeatedly questioned, recorded and controlled by systems they cannot easily escape.
The play combines an individual fight for justice with a wider political examination of migration, state scrutiny and the persistence required to resist both.
surveillance drama, migrant stories, institutional injustice and determined central characters.
