No ratings yet

Lyric Hammersmith · London · Booking until 3 October

Two groups of young friends face outsiders in crisis, forcing each group to decide how far responsibility for someone else should extend.

First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.

Drama
The story

This double bill pairs two one-act plays about loyalty, fear and self-preservation. In Simon Says, two housemates have their fragile peace disrupted by desperate intruders. In Savage, a hiking group sheltering in a remote cabin must decide what to do when an injured stranger arrives. Both stories turn on what people owe one another when helping someone else carries a cost.

In the room

Two compact dramas built around pressured group decisions, with outsiders destabilising existing friendships and forcing questions about trust, responsibility and survival.

Good fit if you like

double bills, moral pressure-cookers, group dynamics and stories where helping someone has consequences.
