Six queens turn shared history into a pop competition.
The six wives of Henry VIII take the microphone one by one, competing to decide whose marriage brought the greatest suffering. Each queen retells her life from her own perspective, challenging the labels that reduce them to their husband's actions and gradually reshaping the concert around their individual identities.
Presented as a live pop concert, the musical gives each queen a distinct contemporary style before bringing their voices together in tight ensemble harmonies.
