A comedy variety night in which keeping the show under control is very much part of the problem.
Created and hosted by Zach Zucker, Stamptown is a changing bill of alternative comedians, clowns, cabaret performers and variety acts from the international circuit. Individual acts get their moment, but they are folded into a larger running show in which the host, performers and backstage business can all become part of the comedy.
A noisy, adult and deliberately unruly mixture of stand-up, character comedy, clowning, cabaret and physical performance. The line-up changes from night to night and acts have a habit of spilling into one another, with interruptions, improvisation and recurring bits making the evening feel less like a conventional mixed bill and more like one increasingly chaotic show.
