The Ballad of John and Paul
Two teenagers meet in Liverpool and reshape popular music together.
The story follows John Lennon and Paul McCartney from the beginning of their songwriting partnership in 1957 through the Beatles’ rise from Liverpool’s Cavern Club to global fame and their later musical lives. Live musicians and storytelling trace both the friendship and creative partnership behind the songs, including their early writing sessions at Aunt Mimi’s home and their work at Abbey Road.
More concert show than conventional drama, it moves through Lennon and McCartney’s story alongside live performances of songs from the Beatles years and their subsequent solo careers, including A Hard Day’s Night, Blackbird, Let It Be, Imagine and Band on the Run.
