The story

Every year, Alaa’s mother sends olive oil from his grandfather’s trees in Jenin to her sister in Amman, and Alaa delivers it himself. The journey requires crossing the bridge out of the West Bank, where he travels alongside other Palestinians while the container leaks steadily through border crossings and into Jordan.

In the room

Storytelling, stand-up and physical comedy are used to trace one journey and the travellers encountered along the way, with family connection set against borders and occupation.

Good fit if you like
