Siby has worked as a lifeguard at the same Cardiff swimming pool for twenty years, living largely inside her own thoughts. Then The Cole walks in and an unexpected connection begins. Rebecca Jade Hammond’s romantic comedy follows two people who feel overwhelmed by their inner lives and the shift that comes when somebody else truly sees them.
The hour combines blunt comedy with romance and emotional vulnerability, using the swimming-pool setting and drowning imagery to connect work, isolation and attraction.
