The story

Tom Wingfield stands outside the apartment where he grew up, looking in on his mother and sister as they await a special visitor. The evening is charged with expectation: a dinner, a dance and the possibility that someone new could alter the family’s fragile routine. The play centres on that household and the hopes invested in one guest’s arrival.
