This one-person play traces Oscar Wilde from celebrated social figure to imprisoned outcast, moving through the loves, successes, losses and public reversals that shaped his life. Rather than treating him only as a literary icon, it places his wit alongside the consequences of his downfall, using his biography to show the distance between the persona society embraced and the man it later punished.
A biographical solo piece interwoven with excerpts from Wilde’s writing, balancing theatrical wit with the darker circumstances of his imprisonment.
literary biography, one-person theatre, sharp wit and stories about fame, persecution and public downfall.
