Comedy
The story

Memphis, 1977. Vince Black is recruited by an enigmatic criminal mastermind to assemble a gang of misfits and steal Elvis Presley’s body, hide it in a freezer and demand a ransom. Inspired by a strange real-life crime story, the play turns an audacious heist into a dark comedy about people making one last, spectacularly ill-judged grab at a better life.

In the room

A Southern-flavoured crime caper where dark humour, grief and redemption sit beneath an increasingly reckless scheme assembled by people with very little to lose.

Good fit if you like

botched heists, dark comedy, 1970s Americana and desperate underdogs chasing one last chance.
