In a village where the leaves of a magic callaloo tree grant wishes, a greedy man steals the tree for himself. Mister and Missis use the final remaining leaf to wish for a child, but the man’s hunger for everything the tree offered soon threatens their family. The story reimagines a familiar fairy-tale shape through magic, community and ancestral storytelling.
