An amateur murder mystery collapses faster than its scenery.
The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society attempts to stage a traditional country-house murder mystery, but almost every theatrical element fails. Lines are forgotten, props misbehave, scenery breaks and performers keep going through mounting injuries and disasters, determined to reach the final curtain no matter how visibly the production has unravelled.
This is precision farce disguised as incompetence, built from escalating physical comedy, repeated mistakes, collapsing stage mechanics and actors desperately trying to preserve the fiction.
