The story
The Man from Stoyanka stays behind as his home is overtaken by war, while a woman records what happens for the history books, the courts and for humanity. Based on real events preserved in The Reckoning Project’s verified archive of witness testimony from the Russian war in Ukraine, the play examines survival and the fragile trust between witness and recorder.
