First Night is a theatre diary for logging the shows you've seen and discovering what to see next.
The story
A young boy's snowman wakes up and leads him on an adventure into the night sky. Their journey takes them past reindeer and Father Christmas to a gathering of snow people beneath the Northern Lights. Based on Raymond Briggs' book, the story follows a friendship made possible by one extraordinary winter night.
In the room
This new production, directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett, uses puppetry and Howard Blake's score, including Walking in the Air, to tell the story through music and movement.
Good fit if you like
