The story
Nick Payne’s play follows a family after the disappearance of a teenage boy, with Nicola Walker playing the mother who continues to hold onto hope. Time and memory fracture around the family as the play explores motherhood, faith and what happens when certainty becomes impossible. Marianne Elliott directs.

An emotionally concentrated family drama told through a disrupted sense of time rather than a straightforward missing-person thriller. The disappearance drives the story, but the focus is on the people left behind and the different ways they live with uncertainty.
