ComedyRomance
The story

The musical retells the events of the 1997 film Titanic from Celine Dion's perspective. It uses Dion's songs in a jukebox format and treats the source film as parody, with a book by Tye Blue, Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli and arrangements and orchestration overseen by Nicholas James Connell.

In the room

The form combines a jukebox score with film parody, using one singer's catalogue and point of view to reshape an existing screen story.

Good fit if you like

jukebox musicals, film parodies, pop songs and perspective-shifting retellings.
