Wicked

Elphaba, a green-skinned young woman with unusual magical ability, meets the popular and privileged Glinda at school in Oz. Their unlikely friendship is tested by rivalry, love and their opposing responses to the Wizard's rule, as Elphaba challenges the system and the public story around both women begins to harden.

The musical combines large-scale fantasy storytelling with a character-led friendship, using recurring melodic themes and contrasting solo styles to track how Elphaba and Glinda change.
